Tuesday: First Day of Two-Day Work Projects

Dear Faith Partners,

Today I woke up to get prepared for the day. The car horn was honking to let us know it was time for breakfast. Today we had pancakes and sausages, we also sang one of the greatest songs in the world, “All Star.” After breakfast we gathered with our YRG’s to pack up the van for our jobs. What we’re doing today and Wednesday is building a 15x6 foot porch for a guy named Justin, and is wife. We talked and talked, he LOVES kool-aid. By 3:30 we finally packed up and left to head to Sonic for a milkshake. When we got back it was time for dinner, we had chicken fajitas and a nice banana pudding to top it off. Later we had worship on the big grassy field. After we had free time, we played a game of werewolf…. I won.

But anyways, this week so far has been eye opening, I’m sure that the rest of the week, whatever’s in store, is going to help me open up to God, and listen. Give more faith and hope in him.

Without all the faith partners that are supporting this trip, I wouldn’t be here learning more about God, Thank You.

For Wednesday:  O God, you made us in your own image and redeemed us through Jesus your Son:  Look with compassion on the whole human family; take away the arrogance and hatred which infect our hearts; break down the walls that separate us; unite us in bonds of love; and work through our struggle and confusion to accomplish your purposes on earth; that, in your good time, all nations and races may serve you in harmony around your heavenly throne; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.
